Webinar Series: The Effect of COVID-19 on Indigenous People’s Organizations and Forest Communities

We are proud to present our co-organized webinar series in partnership with the Ford Foundation and the Land Portal Foundation. This series of three webinars will bring indigenous and non-indigenous leaders to a virtual roundtable to discuss both the key effects that COVID-19 is generating in their communities as well as possible solutions and the way forward. These webinars will focus on public health, climate change and biodiversity and the regulatory rollback versus a ‘green recovery.’ The emphasis will be on;

• How to maintain the momentum for land rights recognition
• How to help community enterprises recover and;
• How securing land rights can prevent forest fire and new emerging disease in the future.
