Indigenous Peoples have the natural resources, knowledge, and skills needed for funders to support them in the global fight against climate change.
That was one of the messages our Executive Director Nonette Royo shared during a new video series that brings together two leaders recognised and backed by the TED Audacious Project.
Royo and Nicole Rycroft from Canopy Planet were featured in the series’ first episode on what it means to cultivate radical empathy, a concept that refers to actively engaging with others to better understand their viewpoints as well as the root causes of their emotions and experiences.
Watch the conservation to learn more about the challenges faced and learnings gained by the pair along the way together with how they’ve been inspired by other Audacious Project grantees.
Tenure Facility was selected as a 2021-22 Audacious Project grantee to help fund our work on advancing and securing indigenous land rights, which are critical to the success of nature-based solutions to climate change.
