Why Donate

Your contribution helps Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afrodescendant Peoples protect their lands, preserve unique biodiversity, and combat climate change.

Indigenous Peoples, Afrodescendant Peoples and local communities represent 5% of the global population, yet their lands account for 42% of all global land in good ecological condition. Despite delivering significant environmental results Indigenous communities receive a very small percentage of the global climate funds. Help us change this.

How funds generate impact

Donors give

Tenure Facility receives gifts from donors committed to supporting forest protection, Indigenous rights, and conservation of unique biodiversity across the globe.

TF links donor funds to vetted Indigenous, Afrodescendant and local community partners

Tenure Facility directly links donor funds and provides technical support to vetted IP, LC, and ADP organisations. Tenure Facility ensures funds allocated are large multi-year investments to IP, ADP, and LC projects that promote tenure rights and forest protection.

IP, LC, ADP partners implement projects

Tenure Facility’s partners implement their projects working tirelessly to formalise their lands, sustain the protection of their forests and the biodiversity homed within, and improve gender and governance structures in their communities.

Living Forests, thriving communities

Thanks to donor giving, Tenure Facility has helped partners formally recognise 4.6 Million hectares in 2024 - an area larger than the Netherlands.
