Good Mapping: Lessons learned from Cameroon

Land mapping is one of the essential components for protecting land rights.

The Centre pour le Développement et l’Environnement (CED) partnered with government departments, the Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK), Forest Peoples Programme (FPP), community leaders and members to develop a harmonised and generally accepted land mapping methodology, based on different land mapping systems and techniques used by other communities.

Here you can find the challenges they found, how they overcame such challenges and most importantly five simple-steps on how they achieved creating a good mapping practice.

Find the key factors of success in order to replicate and adapt this good mapping practice.
