Meet the Tenure Facility’s new team members

Raymond Achu Samndong of Cameroon joined the Tenure Facility in April as Manager of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Reporting. Raymond has a PhD in International Environment and Development Studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. His research focused on governance of natural resources and REDD+ programs in the Congo Basin. Raymond conducted field research on the impacts of conservation and development interventions on local peoples’ rights, access to forests, local participation, and benefit sharing. In addition to other consultancies for international organizations, Raymond was the principal researcher for the Responsive Forest Governance Initiative.

We also welcome Seba Sharestan, who joined us in April as office coordinator. Seba has a law degree, specializing in international humanitarian law, and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at Stockholm School of Economics. Originally from Syria, she worked for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees providing relief to internally displaced people.
